How to Set Up Your Digital Vaccine Card with CLEAR

With more and more restaurants and other venues requiring proof of vaccines to enter, it’s always good to make sure you have your vaccine information backed up somewhere besides your physical vaccination card. With the CLEAR app, you can create a free and secure digital vaccine card that is easily accessible on your smartphone. Your vaccination record will be protected by CLEAR’s secure identity platform, which uses facial recognition to confirm it’s you. Here’s how to set it up:

Step 1: Download the free CLEAR app here on the Apple app store or here on Google Play

Step 2: Open the app and scroll down to the tile called “Digital vaccine card.” Click “Add My Vaccination.”

Step 3: Click “Get Started” and enter your email address. Then follow the instructions from there. You will be asked to snap a quick selfie to confirm you are you as well as upload a government-issued ID.

Step 4: Upload a photo of your CDC Vaccine Card or search for your vaccine provider from their list and link your account by logging into your patient portal through the CLEAR app.

Step 5: Once uploaded or linked, you will then receive a QR code that shows you are “cleared.” This is your secure digital vaccine card!

You can pull this card up at an event or venue when needed by opening the app and scrolling down to that same section called “digital vaccine card.” It will ask you to take a quick photo of yourself to verify your identity through its secure facial recognition technology, and then your digital vaccine card will be ready to use!
